Not-so-happy Baby or Child?

Believe it or not, those not-so-lovely feelings that I mentioned on the home page, are pretty common feelings to have during a time when people say you are supposed to be having the time of your life. Sure, some parents have babies are just good sleepers from the start and remain so throughout childhood. Oddly though, I have worked with thousands of families over the last 20 years and have never met one of these miracle children.

In all the documentation, online resources, parenting books, and tidbits of helpful information from friends and family, somehow information on what to expect out of your new baby, with regard to sleep, is excluded. You are sent home from the hospital with pamphlets about everything from nursing and circumcision, to cord blood banking and post natal yoga…but not ONE word about how to establish healthy sleep habits once you get that wee baby home.

That’s where a Pediatric Sleep Specialist helps fill the void.

I work with every age group, from newborns to school aged children, and also have many prenatal clients who prefer to know what to expect for that very first night at home and how to establish healthy habits from the start!

After working with me you will enjoy the benefits of having a happy and well rested baby or child as well as uninterrupted sleep for the rest of the family, and maybe even some grown up time at the end of the day to enjoy a glass of wine or to read your book. Or both – imagine that!

At eat-play-sleep I have developed a variety of customized sleep coaching packages for families of infants and children. My sleep plans are designed to accommodate different parenting styles, ensuring that you are completely comfortable with the resolution steps and approach taken. I don’t adhere to one strict method of coaching, as this doesn’t take into consideration the many different parenting styles. I will work with your family to create a plan that meets your needs, and the needs of your child. My approach is simple and effective and draws on many years of experience, as well as proven methods.
